Meet The Team

Liz Martinez

Founder & CEO

My name is Liz Martinez, Founder of My Industry Resume. My career began in journalism, where I learned the art of uncovering and highlighting strengths in every story. I then applied that skill directly to people, transitioning into a role as a Resident Opportunity & Self-Sufficiency Coordinator, where I helped public housing residents prepare for employment. This unique path honed my ability to listen carefully and communicate clearly, and I now use these skills to help professionals tell the stories that will advance their careers.

 

Today, I still work a full-time career in state government as a Public Policy Analyst, studying critical issues that impact communities across the Commonwealth. This work deepens my understanding of workforce development and leadership. These experiences collectively shape my approach: listening closely, identifying strengths, and creating tailored materials that empower people to pursue new opportunities with confidence.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a wife and mother who enjoys baking and hiking. These personal passions remind me of the importance of joyful growth, balance, and resilience values I carry with me into my work.
